Santo PEKOA Airport Upgrade Launching, July 1, 2025

The Government of Vanuatu, through the Leadership of Honourable Prime Minster, Hon. Jotham NAPAT and the Minister responsible for Infrastructure and Public Utility, Hon. Harry XAVIER Emmanuel has launch today the plan to upgrade the extension of Pekoa Airport in Santo, Vanuatu.

The Finances or funds for the upgrading of the Pekoa Airport is 18 billion Vatu, the Vanuatu Government will provide finances for the Project.

The upgrade will however have four (4) packages, that the Company responsible will be based on. Also, the Hon. Prime Minister of Vanuatu also emphasises that, the package one (1) is for the clearance and the fencing and will be ongoing sometimes sooner this year. The funds for this are about 1 billion 800,000vatu.
