Sanma Provincial Government Council ELEVEN (11) Area Councils INDUCTION for Area Council Representatives

The Sanma Provincial Government Council organized a two-day Induction workshop for the 11 Area council representatives on June 11 – 12, 2025. The main objectives of this induction are to inform the Area Council Members on, • The Area Council Standing Order • Roles and Responsibilities • How to develop Area Council development Plans and • How to priorities and allocate funding for the implementation of the Community Projects.

On day 2 the Area Council representatives nominated their Council Representatives who will represent their social groups in the Provincial Council for two years.

1. Chief Tavulantui Tavui Ropery from south santo 1 area council nominated as Chief Representative 2. Mrs Jenny Kiavus Path from East santo area council nominated as Women Representative 3. Mr Firiam Tiroe from Bigbay Inland Area Council nominated as Youth Representative 4. Mr Henry Sumbuekerei from West Malo Area council nominated as Business Representative 5. Pastor Edwin Boedovo from East Malo Area Council nominated as Church Representative
