Building Resilience Together: Anticipatory Actions (AA) Framework Socialization

Our goal here is to encourage communities on how to mitigate risks, ensure timely responses, and promote faster recovery—all while supporting community resilience before, during and after a disaster

Here are some key achievements from our recent activities:

  • Registration of CDCCCs: Ensuring active registration and bank accounts for community disaster funds for Banban Community Disaster Climate Change Committee and Biria Community Disaster Climate Change Committee.
  • Reimbursement Strategies: Training Community Disaster Climate Change Committees, Community Liaison Officers, and Provincial Disaster Officers to access early response funds efficiently.
  • Transport Mapping: Preparing transport plans for swift emergency responses.
  • Disability Mapping: Identifying vulnerable individuals to prioritize during evacuations.
  • Evacuation Centres: Ensuring managers are equipped with support kits and child-friendly spaces.
  • Community Disaster Plans: Launching and handing over 3 comprehensive plans containing critical disaster-related resources for Banban and Biria Community.
  • Risk & Hazard Maps: Introducing tools to aid planning and emergency operations.
  • Cyclone Season Updates: Sharing key messages for the 2024-2025 season.
  • Assessment Training: Briefing CDCCCs on the updated Fes Komuniti Asesmen Fom for post-disaster evaluations.
